it's all over now, baby blue

all the red socks fans can go home and try to suck their own dicks but they will snap their necks and die because all the red socks fans dicks are so small and THE NEW YORK YANKEES will not be fucked with this year, forget about Gehrig/ Ruth- we got Tex/Arod. and the world needs less red socks fans, so good riddance, NEW YORK will rise again. no help from the mets, btw.... why so gay, you guys?????

Friday's AL EAST Standings

not bad

EVEN BETTER!!!!!!

Yankees in L.A., or Anaheim, or wherever. Too late for me with a ten o'clock start. Hopefully they get two of three, but i don't hold my breath against the Angels.....

who needs joba? who needs bruney?

Phil Hughes has been nastier than both of them combined in his last ten appearances. the bullpen isn't such a complete mess since veras and those other jokers were let go. Yankees sweep Twins, season series sweep to be exact. still one back of boston.(half a game back, actually)... and after watching Wakefield highlights from last night i believe the knuckleball should be banned, it's a trick pitch, a cheater's pitch like the spitball.

back from mental vacation/ welcome to new york, roy!!!!!!!!!!!

2 weeks of serious massive infection and oral surgery and vicodins and malt liquor and wimbledon and WHY WON'T IT STOP FUCKING RAINING, but anyways, we're back and just in time to start the Halladay to The Yankees countdown clock. i think Joba would fit in great in Toronto, along with 10 years of future Yankee prospects. ....... fingers crossed..... btw- i accidently deleted a google account which deleted years of pictures i had posted to this ridiculous site and just to make it more confusing from now on i will be posting as brother bartles but i still am brother james!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 days off for the nyy

or i should say 1 day off and then 3 games at home against the natinals.

*** Wow, they really did take 4 days off. this is the most unpredictable/ manic depressive yankee team i have seen in a long time.

ignorance is bliss

(some guy drops an easy fly ball. curse of the keith hernandez mustache, perhaps...)

we'll just pretend tuesday through thursday didn't happen. which is hard, because last night wasn't much better. and if it wasn't for one of the mets ( i never learn their names, they all kinda' look alike- gay) dropping an easy pop fly with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth i would be pretty much suicidal about this team today. joba was a 4 inning mess, something like 4 walks and two hit batsmen, and evry member of the bullpen came in to give up a run. btw- this stadium has passed the point of ridiculous, evry hit can't go out, it's not a boardwalk amusement game... jesus.....

Bring It On!

3 games in Boston. the only 3 games between now and mid August. this is a whole different The New York Yankees team. more to come...

Friday, June 05, 2009

sucko

The New York Yankees are rained out. i really hate it when they cancel night games at 3 in the afternoon, it gives me too many hours to be disappointed. tried to watch the mets, with local rochester loser tim redding pitching tonight, but keith hernandez started talking about the articles of confederation and the first continental congress and i had to bail out. how do mets fans listen to him? seriously? i don't care how great a season 1986 was, it's not worth this kind of aural torture. Mine That Bird in the belmont tomorrow, but remember kiddos- he is there to watch but not to bet, unless you are betting exactas and trifectas.

BoSox....Motor City....the battle for best team uniforms!

Mike Lowell gets his 1500th hit, then gets tossed...smooth move unpires, seems like we're getting all the umpires I never heard of lately.

The real story is Beckett going 7 2/3 innings of phenomenal breaking stuff and pinpoint
94 mph fastballs. He was really a blast to watch.

Another thing...I would love to have Miguel Cabrera on our team.

Oh and papi even had some nice at bats...is his career NOT over? funny to see Tek just killing the ball this year, after we all thought HE was done last year.

business as usual

it's been awhile since my The New York Yankees have played steady, confident baseball. just wins, no problem. and with posada and melky back the lineup is complete and devastating 1 through 9. 16 wins in 20 games. just like old times...

brother bartles reporting live: i was there dude

"The Star-Spangled Banner" felt like an appropriate opener for the Phish show at Fenway Park Sunday night, as the members of the Vermont rock band reconvened with one another and their nation of fans to pledge allegiance to the jam.

If band members were seeking a good omen for this reunion, following a five-year hiatus, they had to look no farther than the sky. In the time it took them to get from the rain-soaked infield - where they performed an intricate a cappella version of the anthem in Red Sox jerseys - to the stage for the show's start, the sun had broken through and a rainbow appeared over the outfield.

The two-set performance, covering 3 hours and 20 minutes, revealed that little has changed during the break. None of the band members, who were all smiles, has lost an instrumental step, drummer Jon Fishman is still rocking his performance dress, the audience remains as interested in wriggling as watching, and the songs are sometimes taut and sharp or slack and hazy.

The first set featured shorter and snappier tunes. "Bouncing Around the Room" was a riot of spiraling guitar riffs and sweet high harmonies. They went south for the galloping, countrified "Poor Heart," which flew by on the fast and furious saloon piano licks of keyboardist Page McConnell and tensile bass lines of Mike Gordon. The slash and burn of "Down With Disease" built to an epic guitar solo crescendo as singer-guitarist Trey Anastasio entered a rarefied zone. The audience - a mix of the scruffy and well-heeled, youthful and grizzled - ecstatically got into the spirit, supplying handclaps for "Stash."

The sun went down between sets and the songs stretched out into more layered and psychedelic corners, especially the new "Time Turns Elastic," which felt like several songs in one, some of them captivating. Even as they wandered through the rubbery grooves of "David Bowie" and "You Enjoy Myself" - which revived Gordon and Anastasio's synchronized mini-trampoline routine - they kept the horizon in sight, only occasionally dipping into the no-man's-land of mid-tempo aimlessness.

The lively encore included a loud, raucous, and note-perfect rendition of Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times."

well, look what we got here!

(this picture is not fair, but i couldn't resist. velocity is back to 97 on the fastball, and the breaking stuff will bust your ass. good job, joba)

anyone who argues that The New York Yankees are awful at defense is going to have to think about the number 18 for awhile, 18 error free games in a row is the new major league record. and The New York Yankees go 5-2 on the road trip, which somehow feels like they've been in Cleveland for a month. speaking of Cleveland, i loved watching DeRosa in his Indians uniform on the field in progressive stadium during the pregame basically begging for The New York Yankees to trade for him. what is it with these Cleveland guys who can't wait to get to New York? and even stranger- Joba was pitching in the 8th, not from the bullpen, but he actually pitched 8 innings for the first time in his career, i guess they let the kid stay up past his bedtime to get this win. GREAT GAME. YANKEES WIN!!!!!!!!!

*** in things that annoy me news:  hey, ESPN- can you stop playing that stupid Lamar Odom candy story 4 times an hour? i had a dream last night about a a huge man munching down lifesavers. enough, already...

1st PLACE

The Yankees haven't been in sole possession of 1st place since the last game of the 2006 regular season. holy cow, indeed...

*** update: RED SUX LOST AGAIN!!!

Friday, May 29, 2009

the New York Yankees will beat your ass!!!!

tonight is the first night of this season that the full lineup is in order. jeter - damon- tex- arod- cano- posada- matsui- swisher- gardner. tough as hell. (except for swisher and gardner). and cervelli did an excellent job as catcher when posada and molina went down. they had 30 hits in 3 games in texas. they are currently beating the indians and boston lost, look out for sole possession of first- because THEY WILL NOT LET IT GO! girardi will keep wang in the pen, which is a mistake, but atleast he's not having a fucking heart attack like francona is. btw- did that ump eject evryone from that fucking sox/ twins game yesterday? where was zambrano to set that ump straight???

*** in other news: they are having an airshow over the beach this weekend. i kept thinking i was under attack all afternoon/ flashbacks from the war, i guess.....

*** and there we go! Yankees in first! that's it... Mariano Rivera is the greatest closer in the history of baseball, and we all take him for granted. he doesn't do a dance or make a face or feel the need to act like a john rocker ripoff like papillbum and k-rud does. pappilbum can't even suck the sweat from mariano's brow- not to mention the fact that Mariano doesn't sweat...

Freaking Dice-K...1. He takes his sweet time on the mound 2. It feels like he's never had a 1-2-3 inning in his career 3. Get 'em out of here

Sox walk on wild side (AP)

Sox walk on wild side

Even with the Red Sox equaling the modern-day record with six wild pitches, just one base runner that advanced on a wild pitch scored. In fact, it was remarkable that the Twins scored just four runs with all the wildness and weirdness going on last night, most of it in the vicinity of George Kottaras.

"Fuck me, there goes the baby!!!"

i have really seen enough of jose fucking veras coming into games just so he can dick around. at least the yankees were leading 8-0 in this one, but evry game veras comes into just falls to shit. he walks a man an inning, and he always gives up a homerun. enough, already. joba to the pen for the 8th, mariano has his 9th, and patch the rest. BUT YOU CANNOT BE PATCHING A GAME WHEN YOU HAVE AN 8 RUN MOTHERFUCKING LEAD!!!! fuck you... mariano shouldn't have to pitch in games when you have an 8 run lead. let's face it: hughes can take joba's place, and Wang will magically remember how to pitch. let's not blow Burnett's first win in 8 starts, fuck me- what are we paying him for, btw?

*** wang pitches a lights out 8th and 9th. it's time for him to start again. matsui hits two homers, which is good to see, and tex is a monster, as is most of this Yankee line up. (except swisher, who needs some days off). and look who is tied for first in the a.l. east. the pennant race starts this year in late may- BRING IT ON. the red sux can ONLY fail. they haven't won a legitimate title in what? 91 years???

unfinished business

brady is back in camp this week....we have some unfinished business. the giants ruined what would have been a third super bowl mvp trophy and a fourth ring...then miracle shit happened.
